I have never tried wakesurfing or nor have I seen anyone else do it. I want to try and have a few questions that I am sure some can either answer or direct me to get answers.
1. Do you need to hold a flag up upon starting or through out the rider being in the water?

2. Do you get up with the rope like on a wakeboard or start on stomach then progress to standing position?

3. Any other pointers or help I may need?

4. Is it plausable to get a used board for a 100.00 or so? Or should I buy a used surfboard in the 5'6" range as i have found a few for 100.00 or so.

Thanks for the help

I didn't even know Wakeboarding Mag could spell wakesurfing! :-) Is that the CWB promo vid? WakeB - to answer your questions directly, here in CA. You only need to hold the flag up when the rider and or rope is in the water, but NOT when the rider is up and riding. I think that starting like a wakeboard or wakeskate is the easiest, but there are folks that start from a prone position. Howtowakeesurf.com is a good place to look, as is the free vid from Inland Surfer. I sold a ton of old used wakesurfers before this season for that price, but It would be hard to find onee now. That 5'6" isn't a bad option for starting out, especially at that price.
