I'm completely new to this but have started saving for a digi camcorder. If I get one I want it to be nice so am starting looking at them now. Seems like the new thing all the stores are touting are the ones that record on dvd. What do you guys think about these? I guess it could help with storage so only have to download video you're editing at the time. Would you not need something for transferring (i.e. firewire)? Also do any of you know of any good sites to compare cams? Again complete noob on this stuff...share your knowlege oh wise ones
