board maintnance

Does anyone do anything to keep their board looking like new?
Are you supposed to wax them?

Mine is really faded.

there's really only one thing you can do to keep your board looking new....don't ride it.

But, I would think fading should be attributed to sun exposure. Store your board out of the sunlight and the graphics shouldn't fade.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT YOU CLEAN YOUR BOARD!! take it to the nearest car wash, rinse it, soap it, foamy brush it, rinse it again, spot-free wax it, and chamois it dry or else you will lose POP! i thought everyone already knew this....

I coat mine with a healthy dose of sand, muck, and beer. After this initial coating I hit a bunch of rails to make sure the mixture sets in real nice.

I remember my first board... i had sooo much pride for it. the first 5 or so times when i got back i'd hose it down. I remember even using a q-tip to clean out the insert holes once or twice so the bolts would not grind on any potential sand. :P

But i don't do any of that any more... its just a waste of time really. Brian and joe said it.
