GB Phantom Closed Toes

Is anyone currently riding in or have a review on the Gator Boards Phantom boots?



Im thinking they would look pretty sweet on my Krown Brotherhood...

Well, I went ahead and got a set...
They feel real stiff right now, and right on as far as sizing.




Ill be sure to let ya'll know how they do once I can get back on the water!

So I have actually been out on them three times now...

Once behind the boat, and two sessions behind the Pulldozer.

These boots are right on as far as sizing.
They are light weight, have a stiff base plate as well as an overall stiff feel through the entire boot.
One thing that is not a problem, but is worth writing about. The base plate is smaller than the industry standard or normal size, so the amount of options available for mounting locations was limited. Due to the small base plate footprint I was only able to mount them to the third out and forth out holes, and the inner two were not accessible. You can see this somewhat in the photo above…
No worries though, b/c I keep mine on the third set of holes out.
I was concerned about the Velcro not being sticky or making for a good closure system, but it definitely holds strong and makes for a super quick entry and exit.
I would highly recommend these and am very happy with them!

I was considering buying these! Are they so stiff that it's hard to poke out grabs? Also, how close is your foot to the board? Are the baseplates thick and you sit high, or lower to the board?
