Hey guys I have a few questions.

I have the opportunity to buy a new 2006 21V new for an unbelievable price from a dealer.
I have owned 2 Supras ( Mariah, SSV) and a moomba XLV so I know the Supra reputation and have always loved thier boats. I have now sold my 2004 Malibu VLX and am in the market for a new/used boat. Normally I would not buy a new boat because of the loss of Depreciation and I just dont think they are worth it. Anyways to my question on the 21V.

How is the wake with stock Ballast? Steep or rampy.
How does the boat handle?
Do you like it or do you wish you would have bought a different boat.

Personnaly I love the 21V's but i would like to get some other opinions of owners.
Thanks
Erik

Erik ~ I'm sure Brandon Poser will see this, but let me tell you that the wake is AWESOME! Poser has his dialed in so sweet. It does take a little weight, but the wake is up there with the best of them. I think it has the best wake (well I've never been in the 24v yet) out of all the Supra's. Great boat, great wake, great storage. All around this is a sick ass boat. If you are getting a good deal.... jump on it.

eric, demo it and sac it out first. i went with my neighbor when he had a demo, and we were not impressed riding at 65'. real deep v, and the wake came off the front of the boat. I have heard that the front needs like 1000lbs? and another more in the back.

Maybe Brandon can give some clarification for you, I would call and or email him.

Where is the 03 all white VLX you had, sold?

Anyway good luck with your decision, but check with M20 to see what 210's are leftover

Wake is very sweet if you run the plate about 1/2. Perfect mix between ramp and steep. Can't comment on adding extra weight. Only running the stock ballast right now which is around 1150

Yea glen,
I made a quick $3K on that boat in 3 weeks.

I have the opportunity to buy this new 2006 21V nicely equipped from a dealer out of state for a killer price.

I like a really steep wake ( cause I like to spin) but I also dont like to have to load up a boat with a ton of ballast to get a nice wake.

I loved my 2003 VLX. I ran stock ballast and the wedge and the wake was perfect. Nice lip gave me great pop. I also have my eye on another 2003 VLX.
I am just now starting to look around at the good winter deals.

Erik you asked:
How is the wake with stock Ballast? Steep or rampy. Good with factory ballast. Slightly more steep than the other models in the Supra line but still has that all familier shape and like always the shape is adjustable. Regarding shape, stock ballast wake plate at 50% up = Larger bags at 25% up. Normally its just 2 in boat but what is so unique is Ive had the BSU ski team 10+ in the boat w/bigger bags and the wake just keep getting better.
How does the boat handle? One of the best driving boats out there - especially good idle turning radius and have never got any chine lock. Very dry up front - wet in the back when you let off the thotle hard. I do have to feather the throtle when stopping with the bigger bags.
Do you like it or do you wish you would have bought a different boat. Being a Supra promo driver im always gonna say Supra but I prefer the driving this over the other models. As soon as I sell my 06 I will order another 07 21V

Erik I hope this helps.

Bug, you beat me to it!!

Eric, Bug and Chris said it all. That pic that Bug posted is only in about 5-6 feet of water. Here is the weight that I run. I kept the stock bag in the bow (650 I think), but added about 500lbs of lead to help out. In the back, I took out the stock 250's and put Fly High 750's. I don't think that I actually have each bag filled to 750 in the rear, but close.
Thats all I have done to it. Plug and play, with no extra bags to fill anywhere. As Chris mentioned we run with the plate down about half.

That pic is of me at 75', at a GPS'd 24.2, and I'm 6'0" tall. The boat is great. Tons of storage, lots of power(I have the 340hp), very comfortable to be in, and it drives like a bad ass even with all the extra weight.

Like Chris said," Being a Supra promo driver im always gonna say Supra but I prefer the driving this over the other models." I couldn't agree more. Good luck!

It really takes a lot to get this boat to list over. The sweet spot is short and steep. I like the the 01-06 22SSV wake better for surfing unless you get about 10 people in the boat then it is better.

$40K out the door is what I have been offered. It is out of state so no taxes are included in that price.
