X2 sub woofer replacement

Im looking to replace the JL free air sub in the X2. Whats a good sub that doesnt require alot of air space? Ill be building a box but theres not to much room behind the kick panel due to the heater and hoses.

I just got the ARC audio 12" flat line series. Very small box and beats really hard. Powered by a JL 1000.1.

please post pics of the wake...speed...additional ballast..as well as surf wake...how do you like the X2? How is it in rougher water?

the boat does awesome in rough water. surf wake is kind of weak. You will have to add a lot more ballast to get it good and surfable. The boat feels like a much bigger boat and I love it.

Have you tired the kicker subs? L7 or L5, both only need very minimal airspace. very good SPL sub.

I used a kicker L7 in a box. It also makes a good jump seat. I usually keep it under passenger seat but get it out and put it in the middle sometimes also.
