does anyone make something like this?
I have a multi use handle (old wake board handle/rope) that I use to pull my sons ski trainer and for guests to use when wakeboarding.

I want to be able to hook it up quickly to the ski trainer with out having to reloop it every time. any thoughts?

Just remembered that the make these don’t know if it will work for what you want, just thought that I would throw it out there.

We use a Carabiner and have had no problems. We bought it at a rock climbing shop. Just get a high lb rating one.

Masterline makes a great trick release. If your kiddo gets in trouble just pull the leaver and the whole line is set free.

I think he's talking about more of a quick swap-out rope device than a release. A good locking carabiner should do the trick
