1998 Malibu Sportster LX

I am considering buying this boat with under 150 running hours and wanted to know what you all thought of it. My family would use it as an all around boat for beginning wakeboarding, waterskiing, cruising, etc. It has a 310 hp engine. Any and all comments are welcome.

IMO

it's a bare bones ski/wakeboard boat that can't be beat in performance, but it's small and lacks storage space, low on the water, rough in the chop and the interior is very plain jane. still an awesome boat because of the wakes and how responsive it is. lots of fun to drive and very easy to trailer.

I agree with Rick and want to add one question:
How big is your family? Cause other than you, the wife and 1 small child, you will not have much room in a sportster. Also, very little storage.

A lot of bang for the buck. I second all of what was said above, plus the gunnels are really low. I've heard a lot of people say that it's very easy to put water over the rear & sides of the boat.

Thanks for the input. It is my wife, myself and a daughter but storage is a concern. Sounds like you guys feel there is little to no storage in these boats. Thanks.
