Anyone go after work? Does it get crowded?
Old     (blabel)      Join Date: Jul 2001       04-27-2004, 3:08 PM Reply
To answer your second question, yes it does when it warms up. Your best bet is the ski course. Unfortunately I'm out of the loop on weekday riding these days.

Windy and crowded, although you can get lucky occasionally.

I'll let you know Joe as we start heading out for Midweek riding. We usually head out on Wednesday's right after work at Sail Bay(MBAC)or (Mission Bay Aquatic Center) because after 5:00 p.m. you are allowed to ride there and we usually stay until the sun is gone and you get to show off for the tourists in the paddlwheel boat The conditions are usually good with maybe a few other boats there

Hey Randy, you found any good tubes yet? I'm still looking.

HA! A windy Mission Bay is what we commonly refer to as "San Diego chop" around here.

Wimps.

I've always wanted to use that boat as a slider.

John you're in bro as soon as we start going out there.

Sean, pretty funny though since that's what my summer will consist of, already looking into new digital camera and waterproof housing for tube shots

I have decided to take my driving skills to the next level this year...Pro tour driving skills by the end of summer

I have also threatened to start riding an airchair but still don't know if that's safe for the knee....any insight?

I also have to announce (John and Sean) that the automation manufacturing business is slow so now i only work 4 day work weeks so i am available for being a third on Fridays.

Mornings are usually beautiful during the week. I live in Crown Point and many mornings it kills me to be driving into work instead of being out on a boat.

BTW, I'm available for early morning weekday sessions on the bay.

At 8 am this morning, all glass and not a single boat out there. Yet here I am at work

Moose - I must have made it up in a dream, my bad

Weekends on MB are definitely a nightmare, especially when it's as nice as it was this past one. The water gnats were in full force. The wind didn't help out much either.

Saw that too Lindsay. You talking about Carlsbad Lagoon, Adam?

Sean - Si, ever been?

yeah, it's pretty sweet, because there aren't a lot of boats there, however if there are more than 3 boats, then the water is wrecked. It's also expensive and private.

I heard that there is Giant Man Eating Octopus' in the bay. And its a well known fact they one will gladly pay you tuesday for one wakeboarder today.

Sean, I've heard it's expensive, plus the insurance you have to have is outrageous. I just want to ride it sometime. I can imagine that 3 boats would kill it. How often does that happen though? It was cool to see it in Alliance.
