I'm 6'1" and 170lbs. I usually ride a shane 140, but found a good deal on a 136. Is a 136 probably too small for me?

I'm 5'11 170 and i ride a PS3 137 and love it although i would like to see how the 141 works for me. I sometimes ride my buddies Witness 140 and that seems to pop me a little bit higher but that could be the board design more than the 3 cm size difference. hope this helps

No....not too small but all personal preference.

I'm a little bigger than you and ride a 134 Watson....if they made a 136, I would ride it....but I won't ride the 138 for now. Again, personal preference. I came off 139 and 140 boards and wanted to see what I could do with the shorter board. Also, as boards get wider, length becomes less of an issue.

The 08 Shane is a little wider then the 07 board so it rides bigger then most 136 boards. I am about the same weight, but 5'9 and like it. It is personal preference. I know guys smaller then me that ride 140-141.

My wife weighs 105 pounds and she rides a 136. You should be on a bigger board. But then again it is all preference.

I wouldn't, just my opinion based on my preference.

Yeah…I guess I’ll save up a few more pennies and get another 140. I’ve had such a rough time with boards this year. I’ve broke 3 shanes and got one stolen when my car got broken into. This will be my 5th shane in 08…it’s killing me.

I'm 6'1 and 185 and I rode a 136 Premier and loved it. Upgraded to a bigger board becasue i'm really working on going bigger and the landings were getting SLIGHTLY not fun, but its definitely doable.

Have you tried the limited edition shane with the grind base. I have the limited PS3 with the grind base and I think it holds up a little better. Its heavier but seems to take more of a punishment. Maybe you won't break that one. Just a thought. I ride my limited at the cable park.

Never mind I forgot the limited was a 136. Cancel my last post.

Can’t warranty a board if it’s seen a rail.

I’d love to have the grind base, but they only come in the 136 (which really sucks). I ride cable a lot, but a lot of my boards break more from impact than rails.

If you're just riding cable you could get away with a 136. I was thinking boat and taking hard landings with a small board.

I usually ride a 142 but when i go ride cable i shorten my board up to my 139. And Im 6 foot 220lbs
