Anyone using roller trailers? Comments for/against.

I have a painted rusty steel bunked trailer at the moment & I have to drive my Catera wagon into the sea to launch,
I have a chance to buy galvanized EZloader from a chris craft stinger.

By the way it's not a valuable prostar (1990)

Good Luck With That. I would put the money in a new tow pig and keep the correct trailer.

The steel trailer is only a launch trailer. No brakes no suspension 7 will deteriorate fast in the salt.

I have heard the rollers leave dimples in the fiberglass over time.

I had a roller trailer under my old CC and it was the worst trailer I have ever used. I'd keep looking or see if you can retro fit bunks onto this one.

Rollers with tracking fins? Enough said.

The one roller trailer I ever had I converted to bunks. Made launching & loading a lot easier in my book.

And like Karl pointed out, you better make sure there is a clear path up the middle for the fins.

If you want the boat to come off easier you could use these instead of carpet

The steel trailer tows ok the mile to the sea but I'd like to tow to a lake 60mls plus.
A new bunk trailer would cost as much as the boat.
