ending to one of the best riding day

Spent the afternoon/evening wakeboarding with my riding crew... My son killed 2 sets on the wakeboarded.. and for the first time was able to surf with my boy without the rope!! WHAT I NIGHT!!!!

Hey whats the easyest way to get on the board, with your kid,I have a six year old im trying to get into it.

We do it all the time, you just get up like you normally do, but with one hand. Put the kids feet on the board between yours. As you start to get up, tell him to keep his feet on the board. You hold him up with one hand, and get up with the other.

Congrats man. That's awesome. I have been surfing with my 3yr old but haven't let go of the rope yet. I think I need a bigger board since my Phase 5 is barely holding me.

You can do it like Robert suggested but I hold on to the handle with both hands. My daughter puts her feet in the middle of the boar and holds on to my shorts.

hey robert so its pretty easy to hold on to them and pull yourself up,I just worry about falling on my kid.

I haven't done it myself, I am too big, but you aren't. We do it a lot, and my friend does it and he is 250. I have some pictures somewhere of doing it with jesse and RJ actually puts her on top of his shoulders. Your in luck, I actually found sequence images of RJ and Jesse. Even if you fell on him, as long as you kept him away from rope, and pulled him out, I don't think it would be more than a scare, and I have never seen that. Here are a bunch of pics, that I think will help you.

This was the first time we did it, just before Jesse's 3rd birthday. It shows her kinda climbing on board, but basically RJ just wrapped his arm around her and got up with her between his legs. Good idea to keep kid facing wake, makes it funner.

I wonder if doing a boat start would be easier. I just picture them hanging on to my legs while I slide off???

This is a good pic, he has her between his legs, her feet on board, and he is holding board. Then as they get up he wraps his arm around her.












Then we taught her to touch the wave, not to be afraid of it.



I will end with this one. This is from the first time she did it. This image is on my iphone as the screensaver/wallpaper. Doesn't get much better than that.

I think the deep water start is both safer and easier. If you fall wrong or they start to slide in the water, you just let go. On a boat start, you can slip, fall, and land on the boat with your kid under you.

LOL, thats the first time anyone has ever asked me that. I think one time someone asked me if I ate an asian.

Surfed everyday last week,but I STILL can't let go of the rope.
Also,can't figure out how to teach my 12 year old how to do it.She can wakeboard,but kust couldn't get it.
I think its me.

try my wave bro,you will be able to let go of the rope,im trying to get my daughter into she turns seven next month,im taking her out friday do you guys have a tube to tow,we could tow the kids around.

Sometimes it's hard to see when you've got a four year old on your shoulder...

He is 2 and a half. Didn't like it until he got back in the boat. Then he said it was FUN.

Here is my soon to be 4 yr old. She loves surfing especially carving in and out of the wake. The only problem is she wants to ride for an hour straight!

She likes to ride with me while wakeboarding too. It's just a work out carrying that extra weight!
