Matt and Phaeton, is that height for real? JFC!! What does it feel like if you don't get the foil back down below you before landing?

Jake Bradley is the rider. Gainer with a grab out in the flats.

Mike it's for real. At the TN Fly in Jake knocked him self out by missing the rope on a front flip and hitting head first.

I can only pop about two feet up, and that feels like I am on top of the world. I can only imagine how that height would feel.

JFC is right!

Notice his position from the boat? I was taught to do gainers by almost riding right next to the boat so the line tention doesnt affect me much. This guys is almost behind the boat which gives him a lot of tension on the line which probably is giving him the pop, I bet thats hard to keep straight and not turn into a roll.

"Wake to wake jump, 26 mph 70 feet of rope. Stealth ski. Any advice on how to get more POP." yep, get a Skyski!

It is hard to tell, but from the pic it looks like you are jumping a bit late. It also looks like you are not keeping the handle in a down at your lap. You look bent over and getting pulled forward.

Typically for more air you need to do a couple of things:
1. Load the line as you cut in. Rope tension is a good thing for air.
2. Hold the handle up and out a bit.
3. As you start your dip, pull the handle down and in towards your lap.
4. Pull up on your feet and do a crunch. Some people thing of this as pushing your feet thru the bindings and pulling your knees up towards your chest.
5. Enjoy the flight.

Also, look were you are jumping. You seem to be looking back at the boat, look out into the flats.

What Sean said, plus, you hve to work on your "dip'n'pop".

Definiteley a late jump though. Remember, the blades are 3' below your butt. That means youir butt is WAY in the air attitude before the wake.

Also, the good folks at Foilfreaks.com have a great write up on how to get more air.

There are video clips that really help you visualize the pieces.
