My 2003 X-2 is often doing a beep when after a ride I put it in neutral. Once I switch it it off and turn it on again it doesn't do it any more until I do another ride and go to neutral again. I'm not sure it could be an engine issue or perfect pass. Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

Low oil pressure possibly?

what's your stereo setup and how many batteries?? and are you pounding your sounds at max while riding? Stock alternator? I'm wondering if you are having a voltage problem after you ride and put it in neutral after riding and the alt can't catch up fast enough at low RPM's. Just a thought..

Our 00 X-Star is having the same issues. It will be fine for a while, then while pulling a rider or going over 20-25, the engine light and beep come on. Then its fine once I turn the boat off and turn it back on.

I kept a constant eye on the oil pressure and it is not low - all the gauges are showing normal. Any one else had this problem or know of a possible fix?

Our you boats fuel injected. If so might be IAC valve. Ran it to a bunch of them this year.

My x-30 did a similar thing a few weeks ago.
The oil pressure showed fine. It finally just shut the boat down with left display flash oil. Once I actually check the oil, it didn't even register on the dipstick. it was 2 quarts low.
After adding oil, no more problems.
I suggest checking the easy to do things first. Check oil, check battery grounds, check batteries with load tester / volt meter. check inline fuses, check breakers.

YIn addition to the above possibilities....your alternator may be going bad, or have a bad connection. Go down and look at your Alt posts and see if they show corrosion, like right now lol. I have the same boat. I thought it was my stereo at 1st....because it kept shutting off. The volts were showing ok (like 12), but not quite up to where they were on full charge.

Then it just quit. Looked down under there and saw the Pos lead was cooked off the post. Ooops

I have an 07 X1 and had a constant "beep" when I went to start. Mine was triggered by low voltage. I would certainly have it checked out by the dealer to be safe.

My alarm went off, I shut everything down, checked everything (fluids) and all looked fine. Started again, same thing, etc. Brought it home, unhooked the battery and put it on charge and it went away.
