Ugh, see the Ortho tomorrow to see what surgery looks like.

well, the orto had a different opinion.

pcl is 80% torn, and mcl is mostly torn. He said that the mcl will heal, and he does not want to replace the pcl since it felt like I was still stable on it. He said what is left would be more stable then replacing it.

so, rehab, and ride with a cti brace.
I'm pretty stoked at no surgery, but a little sketch about the whole 20% pcl thing.

Thoughts?

Hey Dizzy...
Bummer about your knee! That being said, at least it wasn't your ACL! Your Ortho's recommendation is consistent with what I have heard for certain patients. Some have to get it fixed and others don't. We have several pro athletes from various sports that continue to ride/compete with partially/completely torn PCLs. I saw your post and just wanted to jump on and let you know that it is fairly common and not to let it bother you. Shaken confidence is probably more dangerous than the laxity in your PCL. You'll know if you are feeling right and if your knee feels good. Do your rehab, take it mellow and really let that MCL heal... and don't ride until it feels right. Good luck Bud!
