Just saw a post where a boat was misrepresented buy a seller, that the buyer only found out after driving 1500+ miles..I'd like to start a new thread to help others get a set of eyes on the actual boat before any body has to drive any great distance...so here it goes..

If you've found a boat in NORTHWEST ARKANSAS i'll take a look...

East Tennessee.

We will be glad to check it out in our shop free of charge as well for WW's.

You know, it would be nice if Dave could make a section in the forum for these type things. Maybe like a Boat Inspector Forum or just start a list that is easy to access for everyone. Maybe he'll read this and make it easy for everyone.

This is a great thread as I tend to by my boats from Kansas and Tennessee.

I got San Diego County, CA covered. As well as many other riders will also be willing to do a drive by for someone to look at a boat. See Cliff Griffins thread asking for someone to do just this, and Joe U stepped up and so did many others from our San Diego crew.

Wouldn't it be nice to have this information locked somewhere on this site with a Frappr map? This would have been very useful to me several years back when I bought a boat sight-unseen from Los Angeles...

WASHINGTON STATE -- I-90 corridor from Seattle to Yakima/Ellensburg, I'd be glad to help. I make the trip eastern to western WA quite often.

I have to ask....

How is gas money going to be provisioned for, or is it presumed that the helper will be happily spending their own gas money for this? I'm not looking for a specific answer here, but I'd like an answer one way or another. It would benefit this thread.

If we're going to be asking this of complete to relative strangers, the question deserves to be asked. There are a lot of tire kickers out there and I have never seen so many as when I sold vehicles on Craigslist. Yes most of us on here aren't going to be sending each other to and fro, but some will.

I have a very large area that I can cover - one that will be of interest to many on here. But before I disclose that I want to know the specifics there. Again, there's no right answer but coming to an agreement about this ahead of time will help and may make this a serious option for searchers...

Truth...I'll take it you got the Orlando area covered eh? Ha!

I Got Twin Cities, MN covered and a tad beyond for you fellas!

But in all seriousness, The Truth brings up a good point, and i will shoot my opinion out there, which is valid to myself to say the least. I wouldnt mind hooking up a fellow WW member with a drive, whether short or just a bit long to look at a boat for them and pay for the gas out of my wallet knowing that if i ever need anything from whoever i helped out, be it a service, a pull, or a place to stay if i had to (that might be pushing it haha), in return, they would help me out.

So, as far as gas goes, as long as it is REASONABLE, and I will personally determine what is reasonable FOR ME, as the rest of you, if you choose to help someone out, should determine what is reasonable for you distance-wise, i dont mind using up my gas to take a look at a rig for ya!

I agree with Eder, Whatever is reasonable makes sence. I will be more than happy to help out (most) boarders if they are up around my area. Also could send some bucks if need be for the person helping.

Massachusetts, at least.

The Truth raises a good question. Especially for those of us who could cover more than one state if asked (note that Massachusetts is in New England).

I know Ryan mentioned Ohio - I am in Toledo. If your southern Ohio, I can handle Northern Ohio and southern Michigan.

This is a great idea!!
