I need to replace my prop and rudder. the boat is a 2000 centurion dd. looking to put on used parts. do I have to get one of those prop puller kits to yank the prop off? How hard is it to replace the rudder? cost total? any ideas where to get parts, internet (sacramento area). How long will this project take me? any input would be greatly appreciated. I don't know what I'd do without this site.

A new Acme Prop $310 delivered (3-blade). my site is www.boarditup.com. Prop puller - $30 or 70, depending upon type, with your order.

Rudders are not too hard to replace, the packing and hook up with the linkage is the pain. You may have to remove the fuel tank. Get a factory replacement for easiest time. Make sure you have the factory packing or O-rings. If your rudder is close to your prop guard, you may have to slide the boat about a foot back on the trailer to drop the rudder. You need about 6-8" of drop.
