ok guys after some vandalism last night we will be closed until wed of next week. for all of you guys that know us we are all about the riders and cable. due to what happened we will be offering 2 life time cable pass at our park to any one who can give us info leading to the arrest and conviction of whom ever did this. we are sorry for those riders who will miss getting to ride at our park this weekend. please come check us out next week.

Mccormicks will be open tomorrow. We have had a very long and hard 7 days. I have to thank all my staff who worked so hard and long to get us up and running with out them it would not be possible. Also to Blake Hess, Mike Olson, and Kai fusser. Blake gave up a family vacation to come down asap to help. Mike thanks for answering the phone calls. Kai dropped everything to come over and lend his cable insight. i can say thanks to cablewakeparks.com for being there when they were need the most.

Good to hear Mike glad you guys are back up and running, can't wait to come back and see you guys again. On a side note speaking from experience at cable parks, no cable owner or affiliate would ever destroy or vandalize another cable, there are too few here so we have to protect and support every cable here in the US as well as the world

I agree with you Josh but McCormick's has been getting pretty popular amongst the cable riders and even a lot of the boat riders up and down the I-4 stretch. They are less than an hour from OWC and I know for a fact that a lot of the OWC locals REALLY like McCormicks and I think have been choosing it over OWC. I've always had good experiences with the owner of odub but I can't say the same for kids who have worked for him. I really don't know. It seems way to risky to do something like that, but it just seems like it was something that was planned out. And its not like you can use a stander bolt cutter to cut that cable. One of the people involved definitely knew what was up with the cable system. What amazes me is how they were able to get onto the property at night and do this and then escape without anyone hearing them. It seems like it would have made a pretty loud noise, and there are a bunch of people who live on the property I thought.

kyle, I dont think its a great idea to tag OWC in with a few (or more) idiots who have no respect for Mike and co. I dont think the owner of OWC would appreciate that kind of publicity and reputation, and I dont think you planned on giving that impression about him.
Mike, I hope you find these (insert vulgar curse here) idiots and punish them in an unconventional and painful manner.

Guys thanks for all the support and comments. All the parks have been super supportive and offered help if needed. Contrary to what some people think, there are no" Cable Wars". But it does sound like a cool movie title.

It is funny that there is now a cable and flowrider in both Tampa and Orlando really close to each other. The flowrider in Tampa is about 15 minutes from McCormicks and the flowrider in Orlando is about 5 minutes from OWC. The one in Tampa was sooooo crowded when I went though. They let way to many kids in at once. There really shouldn't be more than 5 at a time. Anymore becomes a rip off. Especially if you get a little kid on a body board who just sits on the middle of the wave and chills
