Took delivery of new all-black X-Star on Wednesday (will post pics from the lake after this w/e) but still looking for in-town storage near my house. Can anyone advise on height clearance requirements with the tower up ?. In my area there appears to be a threshold of 9ft before going to higher RV storage type units. I know with tower down 9ft is no problem but ideally would like not to have to take it down each time I take the boat back so appreciate if anyone knows the exact height with the tower up.

Hey finbar. Lifting the tower is a huge deal.I personally rent a airplane hangar. This summer project is a high celling garage. Congrats on the boat. Cant wait to see pics. Window frames are in the oven.

The hangar size units at my place are all full at the minute so unless I can clear 9ft looks like I will have to do something with the tower. Any idea if I need 9ft or more ?

My X-Star measures about 10'2" from ground to top of tower.

Mmm, that was what I was afraid of. Is collapsing the tower a feasible operation for me + wife ? Excuse my ignorance in all of this BTW, I know I should have checked it out before but unfortunately events in the real world ie. work have interfered and things have kind of gotten ahead of me.

Is it an 05'? The 05' towers are MUCH easier to put up and down. You can do it with one person if you need to. You should just be able to fold the back half down, and leave the front half in place. Its not that big a deal.

Have you ever thought of trying out a tape measure?

Hey Travis, hows the boarding school going? I was going to try to book a week some time in the fall to come out with my father. Can you give me any ideas when a good time to book might be and when shawn would be around as well?

Do you have anything on the tower? If you have lights and speakers--good luck folding the tower with your wife. Well is she an East German swimmer by chance? With two sets of speakers and lights the tower weighs close to a hundred pounds.
