I've got a friend who is interested in buying his first inboard. Currently has an I/O but tried surfing this summer so now the I/O has to go

http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/boa/4044230023.html but I don't know much about this model. I've been in a 1999 22i and a 2004 24v and wasn't impressed with the 24v.
Also, does anyone know what the 'factory' ballast options were for this boat? The seller told him its a quad ballast setup with 2 in the rear and 2 in the bow. I'm assuming sacks, but not sure based on the ad. We're located a good 6 hours from the boat and I can't go with him to check it out due to my work schedule.
