San Diego - "The Lagoon"

I'm going to be in SD this weekend for two weddings and heard that there are some demo days and events Thursday/Friday.

How do I find the Lagoon?
Where is the Lagoon in relation to the city?

Thursday and Friday I am staying in Rancho Santa Fe then moving to the Marina Village and Catamaran Saturday/Sunday.

Are there any suggestions you local SD people can throw my way for fun time wasting activities while I am in your wonderful town??

Chuck,

Take I-5 to Tamarack, and go east. There are signs to Snug Harbor or Carlsbad lagoon (forgot which, but there are signs). You turn right at the shopping center, right again behind it, then left on Harrison. It is at the end of Harrison. Thurs and Fri are going to be great. LF demo and Trip Acriss America on Thurs, and Parks stuff on Friday. This is off the top of my head, so someone correct me if I am wrong.

chuck, if you're feeling really adventurous, you can come have dinner and see our band play on friday night at hennessey's tavern in pacific beach (4650 mission blvd, SD, 92109). we'll start at 9 and play late. should be a good crowd.
