v-ride swim plateform

I have a 06 v-ride and the swim platform gelcoat has been cracking out. I took it to my dealer for warranty repair and they convinced Malibu to replace it with a 08 platform, which I believe is stronger than the 06. I give props to Missouri River Marina in Montana for getting this done for me. My question is to anyone with 07-08 V-rides, I had read once that there was a problem with black rubbing out of the platform pad onto your feet and getting in the boat. Is this a problem still?
