So after some beers and Super Bowl, my buddy and I decided 3k of water wasnt enough for the 07 vlx.. its a hungry boat that needs alot of weight. We came to the conclusion that although the wake was big it needed just a bit more to get prime.. so, where can i get an ACME 1235 for the best price?

The VLX will take all the ballast you can fit and the wake just gets better. Just do a google search for the Acme 1235 and click the shopping button for the lowest prices.

how do you like the 1235?

If you plan on adding that much weight I'd prop lower to the OJ 468 instead. This prop rocks on the VLX and still gets out of the whole very well, though not a real cruising prop.

Skidim.com - They've got about any prop you want at very competitive prices - Plus, they're extremely knowledgable, so if you have questions, give them a call and they'll be able to help you out

Do a google for Nettles Props. Best prices I've seen online period. That's where I got my 1235 and I run 3400lbs ballast

I have run the OJ 466 (has a little less cup than the 468) on the VLX and it rocked. I liked the fact that I didn't lose as much top end speed. I did end up switching back to the Acme 1235 as I wanted the most hole shot possible with the weight we run. I ride on a river and don't have to travel much so speed is not an issue. We usually start surfing or wakeboarding right from the ramp.
