Yesterday on the way back from the river, I hit a huge tree limb with the tower on my boat. Thankfully, it didn't sheer the tower off. However, I think it did cause some damage to the fiberglass on the inside portion of the hull of the boat - the bolt running through the base of the tower and the boat has about 2 cm of play. The damage is to the portion of the tower that ties in on the driver's side. So, I need to get the panel off - the black piece with radio switch, ballast switches, throttle, etc., (if not off, move it out about 3 inches) in order to take a better look at it.

Questions:
Has anyone here ever done this?

How difficult is it going to be?

Any tips/tricks?

I see you are in Birmingham - call Rambo Marine - they are very helpful.
