"Chong also told agents he ate a packet of white powder he found in his cell, which turned out to be meth."
this almost bothers me more, than just being forgotten. how are the cells not checked prior to a new inmate being checked in?

Kaching! That's the sound of tax dollars paying reparations. Wonder if any DEA agents are getting fired.

sucks...but next time you wanna get high at your drug dealer friends house...might wanna think twice, lol.
his buddy had 18k pills of X, lol, if he had no idea about it, he prolly needs some jail time to reflect on his own retardation.
I'm no saint...but I fully understand that doin illegal s*it is a one way ticket to even deeper s*it. in this case...deeper s*it is being locked in a cell drinkin ur own piss for 4 days.

And getting a million dollars as a reward. I really don't think anyone should anticipate being locked in a closet by the govt with no food and water until your kidney fails as punishment for getting high.

I don't care how many drugs he did, leaving someone to die is awful. For more than 4 days?? what kind of hours do these guys work and how much is it costing us?

In handcuffs no less! I guess the good news is made it through and shouldn't have to work anymore. Once again our war on drugs has failed and will only cost taxpayers more money.
Anyone watch Wild Justice? They will have a whole episode on busting illegal grows in the National Parks that are contaminating water supplies and trashing the country side, only to turn around on the next episode and pull someone over with 90+ plants in a trailer and have to let them go since they have a card. It has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Think of the money saved by legalizing it, taxing it, and not spending billions on law enforcement.

Paul,
I think politicians know this, but are afraid to commit political suicide by trying to push this.

I don't know Michael. There has even been talk of legalization here in KS(the place you would think it would be certain suicide). I bet we see it sooner than later.

I dont care what they do with it, I dont smoke it. Legalize it and maybe just maybe it will help us get out of this hole.... probably not though.

I don't either, and maybe thats the problem. The people that support legalization the most seem to smoke too much of it to be taken seriously.

Thats just it. The main support is to self promote. It needs to be looked at as a national issue, more than some guys that want to make a killing off it(which some will anyway).

Absolutely cruel and unusual punishment. Guy should ahve never been arrested or jailed. There was no victim so there was no crime. All crime associated with drugs is created by government prohibition. Prohibition is the problem here, not some kid getting high inside on private property.

I don't think pulling a couple bongloads should get you locked up with the key thrown away, ever. Gitmo detainees are better treated.

He wasn't arrested, he was kidnapped and tortured. Now he's suing for $20M.

That should be an easy win. I would go for more and settle for less.
