All ages, all levels wakeboard contest at Lake Isle Alberta. (West of Edmonton)

Wakeboard contests at the provincial level are designed for everyone. You ride at a difficulty based level which you personally assess based on some criteria. You could be riding against anyone of similar skill level. There are boys/girls mens/womens categories but if you're a female ripper you could be competing against the guys.

The contest will be held at the WSR Wakeboard school site (Home of Shawn and Roxane Gratzfeld) and it's a 40-55 minute drive depending on where you live in the city.

Take Hwy 16 or 16A West of Edmonton continues on 16 West past Seba Beach turnoff. Approx 2km past Seba Beach you will come in to the Hamlet of Gainford you will know this because the speed limit will decrease to 80 km 1 block before the hotel you will need to turn right (North) on RGE Rd 62 continue north for approx 400 yards turn right (East) on Lake St proceed another 400 yards to #20 on your left side, Welcome to our new home.

Cost is $30 and with that you'll get to wakeboard, get a t-shirt, and a really good chance of a draw prize after the contest.

Registration begins at 08:30 and finishes at 09:00 and riding will start shortly after (as close to 09:00 as we can get).

Riding will be judged but the atmosphere is really about fun and placement is secondary. Contests are a great chance to come out and interact with other riders, meeting new people who are interested in wakeboarding!

Please call Shawn or Roxane at 780-797-3136 (before 22:00/10:00 pm) or email Shawn at wsrwakeboardclub@hotmail.com prior to the contest. We do need some numbers to host this contest. You may be able to pre-register as well (check with Shawn or Roxane).

For any other questions about the contest format, judging, or other details please call Shawn or myself
