So I have ridden behind Nautiques most of my boarding life and wonder if there is any other boat with a similar wake. I rode behind a malibu with the wedge and it was rampy and an older supra which also seems to be rampy.

Is there any other boat like a SAN with a peaky wake with the lip on it? I am looking to buy a VDrive and my budget is hurting me on a SAN or SS.

How is Sanger, Supreme, Epic etc compared to the Nautique?

Thanks everyone for your input!

IMO there is nothing else like the old 210 hull if that is what you like. There are things that resemble it but nothing else like it. That being said try a Supra 21v its pretty steep and the Epic has that snap to it as well but its different too.
Personally if SAN is what you like wait until you find the right boat you'll kick your self all the time if you don't.

There's nothing else like a 210 wake. Love it or hate it.. it's unique.

It's not a 210, but for what it's worth the older centurions (avalanche, Enzo) have a pretty nice lip, and are more affordable (if there is a such thing as a affordable wakeboard boat lol) ....just save your pennies and try to find a deal on an older 210 of that's what you love

the epic is pretty steep supposedly, my RZR (r20 hull too) gets reeeeeeeallllly lippy with some weight but is pretty new. don't know what your budget is

Nothing compares to the legacy 210 wake! What's your budget?

Supra 21v can get eeally kippy as well, I actually prefer it to a 210 wake which is prob my 2nd tavorite wake

Sanger V210 is similar to the SAN210 when weighted right. It is a bit more rampy but still has the hard vertical lip.

I had a 2001 210 for like 3 years and I can say I have ridden just about every flagship wakeboat out there and nothing is going be similar to the 210. The 210 was so different that every time I rode someone elses boat I would leave so early and would ride terrible every time which really sucked in contests. Actually of all the boats out there I would say the new model x star is the closest but it is bigger and a little softer than the old 210. It is almost like a supersized 210 wake if you slowed down a few mph. The transition in is more forgiving though.
If you end up getting a newer boat you are just going to have to go with the more rampy trend that all the wakes out there have now. I really hated it at first but once you figure it out its nice getting the same pop every time. I sure dont miss getting kicked way off axis on spins occasionally like the 210 would do and load and release tricks are alot easier but man I miss that straight up boot on tantrum and front roll based tricks.

Also on a budget I would go with a barefoot 2001 nautique that wake is very similar to a 210 for about 1/3 the price. Also it only takes a few hundred pounds to get the wake big enough for most riders out there.

I rode several 210 wakes and all were awesome.I haven't ridden a Epic or a Sanger, but have ridden all the other manufacturers. No other wake is the same as a Nautique. Mason is right it doesn't take but about 500 to 600 lbs to get a great wake out of the older 210's. Good Luck

I got a 2008 MC X2 and it comes stock with ~600 lbs. If we waited for the 09 they upped it to 900 lbs which I really wish we would have gotten. The wake is really nice and rampy, but you can def tell the difference in wake size. Might upgrade to a newer X2 or X10 and throw some additional ballast into it.

I was actually referring to a barefoot nautique when I said that. I ran like 3500 lbs in my 210 when I had it.

Well right now I am at 16k and having no luck on a supersport or old SAN. I am trying to sell my SN2001 to get up above 20k and then I should be able to find a SAN or SS. 20k for a 1995 SS seeems crazy lol. I have seen a lot of boats in low 20s though.

I am holding out for a SS or SAN just wondered if anything was similar. I am just impaitent )

Unfortunatley, you're at the wrong time of year for buying a wakeboard boat. Great time to sell though. I bought an immaculate 2000 SAN for $19,000 two years ago. I watched craigslist regularly for about a month before I found it and had to drive 13 hours to California and 13 back. It has been amazing. I bought it in October.

I just sold my 2001 San with custom ballast wetsounds and stargazer for 19k so you can find one for 20k just the used market is crazy right now with new boat prices

Also, don't discount the older direct drive Sport & Air Nautiques. My '98 Air (DD) threw a beast of a wake when sacked out. Not as lippy as my SANTE, but still very respectable.

So funny story. I have been looking and emailing people all week. Right after my last post I recieved a phone call from a guy 9hrs away and said he still had his 95 super sport and it was still for sale.

Long story short I got the boat for 17k and it's fully loaded. Ballast PP FCT tower. The guy dropped his price from 19900 as he was buying another boat also. I drove all night and just got it. When I get home I will get pictures.

It's crazy how it all happened but now I got what I wanted!!

it is, it is unbelievable how well it looks compared to other boats at the same price or a few grand cheaper. I almost spent 15 on one that needed interior and possible a transmission. This was a huge score for me!
