My buddy just got an 06 Wakesetter VLX and I had my first ride session with him today in epic conditions on the Delta. I have had a bunch of boats previously, one being a 00 VLX Wakesetter. I now have a SuperAir and very happy with it and the wake in my opinion is awesome. The reasons for my change from my VLX to the SAN was I had lots of interior issues and I liked the SAN wake better. My buddy's boat has the standard three tanks and the wedge so when it was my turn to ride we filled up the tanks and when I hit it on my first cut I was extremely happy with the pop and how firm the wake is now with the new hull design. The interior materials have been upgraded and the fit and finish is very nice. The ride and handling of the boat was great and low speed maneuverability with the wedge down was not an issue. The Malibu turning radius compared to mine is no contest which is nice in the narrow channels with the current. The speed control is similar to PerfectPass and does have the nice feature of being able to turn on and off while underway as opposed to having to stop. I saw another thread mentioning with the drive by wire this may not be an issue like with the cable throttles. I didn't put extra weight in the boat to check out the wake nor did I ride at a bunch of different lengths but all in all I would put it as a top contender if I was in the market for a boat.

How are the top racks mounted on the top of the tower? I'm waiting for my new 211 and want to do the same thing. What'd you use? Is there any problems if you fold the tower down for storage?

They are lightening racks with the oval clamps like you would use on the sides. When I fold the tower down, I use my throw cushions under the tower tubes and it lifts it just enough so they clear the rub rails. I don't use them a lot, but when I need more racks, they are sure handy.
