I have been riding for around half a year and curious what rope length I should be using.

it depends on many different factors. most of them are your preference. it depends on your skill level. if your all about going big like keith lyman, crank up your speed and lengthen the rope. i ride at 85 or 90 because i like to get some lofty airs. keith lyman rides at somethin like 95ft and 26-7 mph. expeirement with different set ups, pick a speed you want and then lengthen the rope out to the point where the wake is best. longer rope equals wider wake, so its harder to clear the wake

Really depends on personal preference also some boats have different wakes. Like behind my 20v i ride at only 70 but any other boat i'm out there at like 80 85

ride at the length where your board goes up the wake and there is no wash on the top of the lip. Thats the length you ride at. Doesnt matter what others ride at.

someone on here once said that the rope length should be no longer than the length you need to clear the wake both heelside and toeside ......
for me, for now, that's pretty short

60' at 21.6

I could go faster, longer for heelside.....but am really trying to fine tune the basics

good luck

75ft @ 22 on my X2 which has a pretty narrow wake. Right now I can clear it heelside and toeside consistently but im gonna try 80ft @ 23 next cus I'm landing in the flats most of the time.
