I am shipping my boat halfway across the country and picked up a shipping cover from my dealer. Its one of those that the factory uses when they ship new boats to the dealers....plastic outside, soft fabric inside and rope ties at the bottom.

What kinda heat source should I apply to shrink it down? I dont have the actual cover yet so I cant fiddle with it...but I was thinking a heat gun might not be duty enouth. Maybe some sort of propane heater might work.

Anybody got any ideas or some experience doing this? I have never even seen it done.

Why not pay someone 50 bucks to put it on correctly?

I just had my boat shrink wrapped before my move from CA to WA and it was spendy...$310. The dealer did put a lot of extra padding throughout the boat to prevent gel coat damage, so it was worth every penny to protect the boat.
