I just wanted to say thank you to Wakeworld. Scot and Andrea are money, Acme, and the dude who gave me the coupon code for my new ACME 911 prop. I have finally weighted down my V215 and I have to ask myself, why did I take so long? (b/c it is a lot of lead to move around) Anyway, I love the new prop and wake, especially with 6-7 adults in the boat. Way better on gas with the new prop. We did 6 sets and some driving around to look for decent water on only 22 gallons. Not to bad for a fully dumped boat.Upload

I was expecting a story of you getting chased by a serial killer and you called 911 last second and got saved by the police. I guess it's probably good that's not the story.

you are showing more in the rear than 692lbs. Its looks more like 596lbs on each side alone = 1192lbs. Your grand total only adds up to 1664lbs?

Is that correct?

IMO you need a lot more weight ;) add 600 up front and at least 1,000 out back.

My grand total is correct, for some reason I put just one side of the v-drive as a total instead of both sides. OOPS. Good catch. Here is the correct one!Upload

Luker, if I did that I bet the wake would be really huge. As of now the wake is at about my knees. But then I would be back to the problem of needing another new prop. Plus I tow 75 miles each way ugh!

Nice David! That prop is amazing for our boats, still amazes Scott and I how little gas it burns sometimes.

I got the 300# in the nose would do you think would be a good start for the rear. Currently got 250+50 on each side.

Kenny, if you do the math I have %38 of the weight in the front compared to the back. So I would try to match/keep that equation, keep in mind I have 120 lbs in the locker as shown on the diagram too. By the way does it seem like you need more weight on the Port side then the Starboard?

Kenny, BTW, keep in mind my ratio is based on bow weight to rear weight. I did not take into account the center sack ballast!

sangers like it heavy in the nose. In my 210 we ran a 550 lb bag and 150 in lead. 300 in lead mid ship 250 stock kgb bag and 350 in each rear locker.

so I have a 50/50 ratio 300 front and 600 rear, so I need just a tad more in the rear.

I am waiting for my buddy to download pictures from his camera. He has a computer glitch. Anyway, Kenny, I think you should piggyback two fat sacks to your rear lockers that can hold up to 400lbs. That is my next step so I don't have to move that lead around from my truck to the boat and back to the truck. Remember I trailer 70 miles each way. But I am going to store my boat at Rivers End After the 4th. So I will need riders mid week at around 3PM! Yell Yeah!

We do use most of the storage space in the rear lockers. The sand bricks are actually beside each battery. I do think I could manage a water brick in each rear locker until I could find something more permanent. I don't won't to go the way of having to haul lead in and out, I to travel a bit each way, not as much as you tho.

If I could find 400# hard tanks to replace my 250# then that would be the ideal thing.

I would say your are only about 2500lbs short of what your true potential is.

True, but I want it set up for my kids ages 2 and 5 first, then I can always go bigger.

I hvae sack it out to 2600# before and it was an insane wake, but now the kids want to board and I can't say no nor do I want to haul all that weight around the lake burning gas for no reason.

did the math and 900 total would require 342 in the front and 558 in the rear for a 38% mark.

I get the kid thing, I have a 3 and 5 year old and frequently I have families on my boat. I don't want to haul lead around either. It is just good now while I figure it out. So I was thinking to just remove the rear tanks and put in bags that hold 600-700lbs. Kinda keep the storage. Then I could just use my lead in the bow, which I would be fine towing with. I would move it over the axle to be safer.

Could you imagine 2500lbs more weight? I can't Andy. But then again I am not "PRO". I am happy with my 3's and backrolls. Wish I could get my tantrum back. Oh well.

not sure about the bag thing because when they inflate they will take up room and I just am not sure it will leave enough? Do you have pics of your?

Pictures of my boat yes, but not of the lockers. I still just have the stock tanks and pop bags. I understand what you are saying about sticking in a 700lbs bag in each locker as a replacement. I don't know how much room that would take. I just keep my anchors and tool box, plus wet things like vests and tops. Like I have said before, my biggest complaint about the V215 is the storage.

Nick, you are running about a 38% ratio also. So we are still thinking a 40/60 ratio.

Wonder how bad a 50/50 would be right now like it is then is should play out nicely with just a few people on the boat?

Do any of you guys have the adjustable plate or are you all fixed? I am thinking if you had an adjustable plate and put it all the way up it would make the weight bias more "sanger like" with heavier front like the 210.

Kenny don't forget in our Ratio we didn't add the stock ballast into the equation.

Darren I have the adjustable wake plate. I have been running it at 37% fully loaded. I am still trying to figure it out where is best, meaning when will the wake boot me the best. I have in the past put the plate all the way down to help get on plain and then all the way up to help to make the wake bigger.

fixed. A few on these forums said don't mess with it as it will only be painful.

I did add the stock into my equation, but not the center.

Interesting. I'm adding a plate to mine, hopefully this weekend. Can't wait to play around with and see what it does for efficiency and wake shape/ballast options.

At the moment we are pretty much maxed out with how much weight we can carry because the wake is as steep as I like but I can't get anymore in the front without getting dangerously low, the plate might give me a few more options to put more in the back and "trim" the narlyness out.

More or less I was told if I start to raise the plate because it is fixed I will start to have the porposing (bad spelling) problem.

Should I add the 400 from the center ballast in to the 40/60 ratio?

Andrea, unfortunetly I can only make it to the water a few times this years being that I am getting ready with my command for another deployment (I am not going this time) and I am also transfering back to Cali around Oct. SO getting good insight from those of you who have already played with your 215 wake is very helpful to me. I do not want to be tweaking the wake next summer.
