Sup guys, I had just recently come back from a 3 year break, im having this problem with my tantrum, i want to make it floaty and take it up more so to be able to do like indy tantrums, whirlys and the like. For some reason i keep throwing the tantrum kind of off axis a little (new trick? lol) but i want to take it straight over the top like a regular backflip, im an upper level gymnast so im very very comfortable with flipping/twisting and the like, its just a little different with a handle in your hands hah

any help is appreciated, link of the video is below
1st one is an example of a bad one, 2nd is example of a better one..
yes its a video of a video and yes i put in background music because theres embarrassing background noise in the original footage

How much of an "upper level gymnast" are you?...like a Level 10?

Too much speed not enough line tension. Your charging at the wake and then hucking. The better your form the less you should work to get the rotation. Try loading the line a lot harder and really popping off the wake. How are your w2w's are they clean and poppy?

ya, w2w is flawless, can go super high or out in the flats, for a tantrum i should try to take it more up and w2w right? or would it be similar to the distance/height of a raley?

learnwake has a great tutorial. http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=1901

Kyle usually says when you switch edges you want to feel like your pushing your chest up and toward the shore thus standing tall to get that straight up pop.

Yah, you want more poppy and w2w, especially if you are grabbing. Slowly after you have a nice loft indy Tanny you can start putting more stank on it and taking it to the flats. Remember to trip hard at the wake and yank your knees into your chest before you open up your chest. This will make the grab easier.

i look down for the board. it helps me go UP with my body instead of back and also makes the grab nice and easy
