Does anyone have any tips on a front to fakie. So far my ideas are you have to over rotate your front flip to get your chest out and over the board. Any other ideas. I'm getting around but not enough and I'm sliding out and landing on my butt.

You are under-rotating the flip. Huck just a little harder than a front and keep the handle in tight. If you let the handle get away from you, your rotation will slow. You should be landing on your toe edge, looking at the shore, with your handle behind your (what has become the front) front knee.
