Has anyone had brake problems with a Mastercraft trailer?

Yes. There are a few threads on tmcowners.com about various issues.

I contacted the Axle manufacturer and they sent me all new calipers

the calipers on your MasterCraft trailer are from an early GM design. The manufacturer is Reliable Tool & Machine in Kendallville, IN., they sell the complete axle to masterCraft. They are perfectly aware of the problem of sticky pistons due to incorrect tolerances of the caliper bore and piston and should be giving you free replacements calipers. You can contact them @ 260-347-4000 or www.reliabletool.com, the man in charge is Kelly Charles.

Wow, when did you replace yours? I bought two from a mastercraft dealer 2 summers ago. They didn't mention anything about a recall. The other two I replaced last summer, but at least got them cheaper from a different supplier.

Mine were replaced last year I had a early 2003 Trailer. I did have to change them myself though as the labor was not covered.

I had my left caliper hanging on my '04 SA MC trailer (I think it has something to do with the slides). The Reliable calipers (left and right side) were replaced under warranty by Reliable with Kodiak calipers. I put them on myself.
