help with digital camera

I've been trying to get some good pictures but the cameras I'm using have a delay from the time you press the button until the time it takes the pic. Do any of you know of a reasonably priced cameras that can take pictures faster?

Try holding the button down 1/2 way so the camera can get it's settings together. Then when you're ready to shoot just push it in the rest of the way....

reasonable to me, less than 200. I'm no pro so I don't want anything bad ass.
