Ouch Joe,

Those shots sure are discouraging. Did the delamination happen while riding open water or was there a rail involved?

"KROWN WAKEBOARDS under new ownership!"

That usually means changes

I would imagine that they have something worth riding... they are building their team & starting w/ Kyle Murphy....

I will help set the story straight:

1st The Krown Royal that Joe continues to show is about 7 years old and was built back in WA. The new Krown stuff is built in the USA from a factory with over 15 years experience.

Joe, send me that bad Royal and I will give you a new King 142. My E Mail is dj@xldist.com

Whoever the guy is in CA, never contacted us about his bad board that supposidly broke after 3 runs, it must be old or he is in another world. If you have a bad board e mail me and I will send you a new board as well, again dj@xldist.com

Krown has been rebuilt, it is under new ownership and yes they have a real team: Kyle Murphy, Derek Cook, Chris Ramirez, Rick Knott and Collin Wright just inked a deal as well, YES I SAID COLLIN WRIGHT. Jeremy, the original Krown owner does what he does best, design sick paint for all the boards.

We offer a 2 year warranty, this year we have had about a 2% warranty rate which most of the bad boards originated from heavy rail riding.

We stand behind our products, our team and company. Seems like allot of people won't let go of the past.

I want give a shout out to the people who are giving the new Krown props ! Oh yeah, we are looking for Team Members, if you think you can hang shoot me an e mail.

well im seriously thinking about the dome. im looking to put my dollars into something other than lf and hl(i dont have anything against them and own or have owned many of their boards). i like to see smaller companies do well and it only helps the board market(prices) when others companies are manufacturing product.
congrats on the new team.

first of all, i don't "continue" to show the krown royal. above, sacdeep mentioned something about his board breaking...i posted the links to the pics of the busted board he's talking about. if you look at who posted them on wakepics, it's the same person that posted in here about it breaking.

secondly, isn't wa in the usa?

what factory w/ 15 years experience? hyperlite? liquid force? o'brien?

finally, i think it's great that you're trying to take care of those that were screwed in the past, but just be careful when you say things like "supposidly broke." sounds like you're accusing someone of lying.

One of my best friends rides for Krown and he loves it. I ride his board the past weekend and it ahs more pop and lighter than any board that I have ever seen (ive seen a lot of boards being a dealer) I just ordered 12 of them. He did break one but that was jumping off of a 5 ft. kicker doing a 35 ft. land gap. hey are sick boards.

Those are my pics that that Joe posted and actually that was a Brotherhood 143 with Krown Royal graphics that I purchased from Travis the former owner himself. Also I did contact Krown. Once I saw the first ad in Wakeboard Mag and the person said he couldnt help me get a new one but if I got a pro shop to order me one all I would pay is cost. I felt I had better options out their so I decided against it. I dont have the board because it was just taking up space. I've got pictures, video, and people to prove the snappage and the comedy that happen afterwards

there are horror stories out there for every board company. I have had binding inserts pull out of my Hyperlites while riding, LF's snap in half, CWB's delam horribly, GB's have had a couple different things go wrong. With as many boards as these companies put out, of course something is bound to go wrong no matter how good they are supposed to be. I wish Krown the best of luck and I hope they take a good chunk out of the asses of the big boys.

Vandal - spoken true

Thanks for the props and telling it how it is.

I offered to give the guy a brand new board today and no e mail back

Anyway - KROWN IS BACK we are ready to go after the BIG GOLIATH COMPANY that is LF, HL, DU, CWB, BS, J Star,Hardline and who knows who else they own

Our Future Will have us bringing big name riders to Krown and a Big Name binding line to Krown as well. We are addig riders and plan to have a team of 20 by Surf Expo

Yes I did recieve DJ's email today and I did take him up on his offer (who wouldnt) and that was very gratcious of him. I am not going to say Krown is the greatest, but I will say if you got people like DJ behind this product then its definately the step in the right direction

I heard that you Krown might be signing Brian Francis. Is that true?

Kyle's board looks just like my Transcend..
Old     (tripleup)      Join Date: Apr 2004       04-28-2005, 6:57 PM Reply
transcend aint got shiz on that board. althiugh I like the transcend there just no comparison in weight and pop to any of the krown boards. If anybodys in the south and wants to come ride for a weekend and take the KROWN CHALLENGE call me 601-260-0420
Old    kiss4002            04-28-2005, 7:50 PM Reply
Kyles board is NOT the TRANSCEND ! Kyle created the board from scratch based off of his likes and dislikes.

The shape is all his, from the rails to the fins.

Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       04-28-2005, 8:46 PM Reply
as long as it rides well, people will rave about it. they don't give a rat's ass who designed it.

and krown people, relax...people are allowed to see similarities between 2 boards. no need to get defensive.

I was at a small fun tourny last year here in Colorado, and a guy had a couple of krowns he demoed in the tourny. He was impressed with the pop, and the way they handled. I was impressed by the graphics. Thats one thing that realy stood out and I don't like many of the graphics that most of the big daddy manufacturers have out today. Good luck DJ, I plan on looking at Krown's line of boards this year. Hope to see you at the mile high meet and greet. Hopefully we can get some boards to demo. I think this will be a great chance for Krown to get noticed locally.

I just bought the Krown Royal 138 and cannot find fins. I bought the board off of ebay and it did not come with any. Does anyone know where to get them?

email DJ who has posted on this thread
Old    gageg            05-09-2005, 8:15 AM Reply
also, I just talked to Rob at the Krown company and he said that a lot of shops are trying to find this board to put up in shops and had offered top dollar for it, if anyone wants to make an offer on it to me, I would possibly be interested in selling it. It is the Krown Royal 138, with the velvet bag. It has never been ridden but is a blemish board. It has two small dents on the top of the board, but they can barely be seen
