Not sure of the name but its the new hemp core. Flexible but with good pop to get you really high.

Well, they discontinued the ERA series due to low sales volume if I recall correctly. My guess would be the B-Side or Murray. But ya never know! Unless he just starts rocking the Roam full time! ha

im surprised hyperlite let go oshea instead of letting go ruck. he hasn't done anything much for the past 3-4 years

I believe he was involved in 3 videos last year. Which was more than anyone else. And from reading those round table discussions he sounds like a really well spoken educated guy. Who would let go a well spoken ripper from the pointless crew?

To be honest I'm pretty sure his graphics had something to due with the slumping board sells.

It was a sad day when my 08 Era came apart. I loved that board. Luckily, after dumping my replacement Ibex (didn't like it at all) I got a Tribute and all is good again. Love the Tribute. When I covered my Era in cool stickers I thought it was one of the coolest set-ups I had seen. I wasn't too found of the 09 guitar graphics though.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed that unintentional pun in Carl's post. Ahahahahaha.

Lol! My reaction to Carl's post was "How do they make boards out out hemp, now?" Totally missed it.

As far as I know Ruck is a rep for hype on the east coast so he isnt just a rider.

Yeah, nip that rumor in the bud, Chris was definitely let go by hype. I was living with him for a few months while everything was going on.

THAT ERA WAS A PEICE....NO ONE REALLY LIKED IT BUT RUCK. YOU NEVER SAW ANYONE RIDING THAT THING. SO SLOW AND SLUGGISH. LIKE THE OLD PARKS BOARD

The ERA was Danny Harf's old Premier shape and will go down as one of the most prominent shapes in wakeboarding history.

I dunno bout the rest of you but i loved that old era shape. after they changed the parks board in 05 i went to the era and was in love the first ride.

I don't know about that Lee, Jacob loved the ERA!!! Ruck is awesome!!

One of the best shapes ever made

I agree with Snowman89, year after year graphics sucked. I know you shouldn't judge a board by it's graphics but at the same time you should feel the need to cover it with stickers before it looks cool. imho

Only rider I saw rocking the ERA lately other than Ruck was Kyle Alberts.

The only pro rider maybe. I used to have an era, great shape that was a lot of fun, I learned my first tantrum on that board

I think the era two years ago with all the concert tickets on the bottom was badass graphics

I used an Era for a couple of years and liked it a lot. I switched to an Absolute Platinum that was everything I liked about the Era but better, and a lot lighter.

The tickets on the bottom is the only board I've bought for the graphics, being as I had gone to most of those shows as well. Great graphic year!

i think people are sayign that no one rode the new Era shape from 2008-2009. The Era from 2004-2007 was super popular and called the Apex for the last couple years.

A-dub, That was the 2007 model. The era's were great boards but definitely lacked the popularity in the last few years

The downfall, and plus side for some, is that it didn't really evolve much. Which is fine for those who love the shape, but with designs changing so much in the last couple years, a lot of people, including myself, went out looking at what was new and stuck with them

The overall shape and rocker line got worse and worse as seasons went on. And how you go from the original Premier shape to what the Era was last year is beyone me. Rucks got sick style one of my favorite guys to watch, but his board could have been better and "average rider friendly" IMO
