Wasn't somebody trying to claim they bought this boat and wanted to sell it before it was delivered a few months ago?

oh yeah... that is our good buddy ryanxstar....
we never got the full story on why he is selling it before he takes delivery.... also never heard of anyone paying for a boat before you take delivery, so something strange is going on, but he won't say...... maybe he will say it here.....

Is this the same kid who had the "pimp my ride" Xstar a while back?

If I remember correctly he had a barb wire x-star that had some major gel problems. My guess is that MC replaced his barb wire boat with this boat and he decided that he didnt want it so he is selling it.

The kid has taken a beating on here because he was bragging about his boat that his dad bought him. IMO the kid did not deserve it. He was just taken what was given to him. I would take a custom x-star if it was given to me.

Agreed- He came out really arrogant(prolly more excited) but he's a kid. Who wasn't at that age... I woulda been if I got a new X-star from my dad. Now he's prolly just a lurker round here. Nice boat I can understand why he wants to sell, I'm sure it was hell getting a new boat outta MC

are new boats really @ msrp for $112k? Holy crap, I won't be upgrading anytime soon...

That one it's the top of the line X-Star with every bell and whistle you can possibly have on that boat. If you loaded up a BU 247 with EVERYTHING it wouldn't be quite that much but pushing 80k at least

You could buy a pretty nice boat for 32K Tyler. 112K for a 22ft boat is crazy. I hope they don't sell any of them for that, because if they do, the already overpriced base xstar is going to go up.

From what I heard the kid abused the hell out of the Barbwire boat but MC still fixed it. When he tore the sh*t out of it again MC had enough and so did his parents so he had to sell the ordered boat or lose his deposit.

Haha, Paul they couldn't make enough of them. Though once again 112K is MSRP. While I really liked it to begin with, I'm not impresses with the interior. More specific the upholstery. To each their own, I'm on to obsessing about the 40th anniversary their putting out. Any pictures of the new gauges yet?

Paul- you're right, but that wasn't my point

Billy- Where did you get these facts from? This is the first time I heard this.

If all these accusations are true then ok... but why keep tearing a kid down when he hasn't done anything to you or to this forum in years really.

First of all Tyler Mcturdy, I am not tearing the kid down, just simply stating what I heard from one of guys that he used to hang with.
The way you are defending him, some might think you are him.
Anyway, the kid was a spoiled brat, and most people were jealous of him. My .02

Ryan, I miss our favorite x-star owner like a case of the crabs. Wa-wa-wa-wa we were to mean to the punk, whatever. If that is the case, he has a lifetime of disappointment ahead.

Good call Billy I'm Ryan
I just defend most people who have no reason to be torn down like many of you did that kid. If you're jealous thats your problem! I'm certainly not I'm more than happy catching pulls with whoever I can and helping out I don't need that boat to enjoy the water or the sport.
So you're just spreading what could be a rumor basically is what your saying(its what you heard not what you know? correct.
