I hated the first gen. of the 3DS, that thing was a tank. Old Parks was a tank Cookie Cutter Byerly because the rope would get stuck in there when on board racks

The Murray with the warrior dude on it... that thing needed a little 5hp motor on the back. The LF Team nose-dove on me but had awesome pop. The 2nd gen. HL Premier was pretty dang slow and way to grippy.

The only good thing about the oasis I can think of is that it can take a heck of a beating on rails..I used it at owc a couple times.

Dan C, the CWB Faze is an old Absolute shape and it is a great board, or at least in my opinion. I have ridden several different versions of the shape over the years (Absolute, Pure, Flame) and it is really a great shape that does a lot of things well. The worst board I have been on was the Origin Podium, it was really bad about having the edges catch. That board claimed many people back when we were all starting out, a lot of faceplants.

i posted about the cwb faze. ive ridden pretty much all pro models. and i like a really loose board. the faze tracks like a tank with the "stock" center fin. and thats how she rides it. haha. its a pretty fun ollie board though. but i dont enjoy jumping with it. HARD landing. haha just throwing my oppinion out there! dont want to start a war

Not arguing with you David, really just trying to back Dan C up. You definitely have to try the Faze without the center fin or at least a smaller one. It is not the best board out there because that shape is older and there is better technology out, but I have seen a lot of people do really well with that board as a first board. A few years back, some guys on my boat were riding the first Transcend shape and working on inverts and spins and were really close. A binding broke one day on his setup and he used my CWB Pure (the current Faze) and he stuck his first and second inverts after riding the board about 5 minutes. Another weekend a similar situation occurred and a different rider stuck his first three after his board broke and he took a set on my Pure. Back to the original topic, I have heard plenty of people who didn't like the first Transcend shape because it was slow and had a weird pop to it. (Message edited by srh00z on December 10, 2008)

i agree about it being a good first board. but it just doesnt suit my riding style. i ride the lyman. need i say more? (laughs) my first board was the lf synergy. and i moved up from that to the lyman. both of which are very loose. i "learned" to like that type of board. my uncle bought the trip and my dad has the watson. so ive ridden the synergy trip watson and lyman. (and of course the faze) and i like all of the others more then the faze. but my sister loves the faze. so it works out for us. she doesnt have the best balance. so the deeper and more fins the better for her. (she just rides around) but like i said. its fun to ollie. i can ollie higher on that board then my lyman. which is weird.

04-06 (i think) hyperlite byerly!!! it has to be! no board has tried to be so gimmicky! although it did have a few copycat boards or companys come up with there own over flow systems.lol (they really took off)! iv rid plenty of boards and given them all a fair chance and tried to see the light in them all but that sucks! i am a cable rider and do require a board to be able to hold a hard edge and it was the most unstable board ever! might of been better on the boat for people who dont edge as hard????

woaaahhhh woahhhh. the neptune six was ill. so god for it's time. the worst boards for me is anything obrien.... the worst graphics, cheesey tip tail cuts, way too many fins and whats the deal with those metal side fins. the back street boys of wakeboarding. just add an affliction tee and white sun glasses.

obien??!?!?!?!? hhahahaha yeah those side fins! funny! id say the obrien player wasnt to bad??? and the valhala (spelling?!?!) wasnt to bad when you take those side fins and throw them in the bin!!!!! its kind of a normal board then! ryan you should maybe hook up with the creator of bad ass boards and start a new 09 line http://www.wakeworld.com/BoardGuide/BadAss.asp i always wanted one when i started wakeboarding just for the name!!!! Using the bad ass log series you never miss a beat! or a double up with its unique 3 stage rocker which utilises a massive sweat spot! So you get some sweet air!

Whoever mentioned the original 3DS, I am right there with them on that. The Hyperlite Drifter and the Project were pretty terrible also. I guess I just don't like boards Chad Sharpe rides.

does anyone remember how ungodly slow the 2000-2 LF Helix/03 Fusion was? dont get me wrong the pop was nice, and the finless idea spawned a new generation of boards and the graphics on the Fusion are hall of fame worthy but holy cripes it was like trying to ride thru silly putty. or molasses in january. or partially dried concrete. you'd be exhausted after the first two or three hits at the wake.

any w/ a curse word in the company title will never fail right?... that kind of thing is surely no reflection of their decision making ability and ability to develop a successful business strategy as a company and they surely will flourish

Some people like the Obrien Player, but I had a friend who got one, and I thought the eight molded fins were a little too much. I prefer a board that spins with ease

So, I just looked up the tubelite board, and i feel like my brain is melting a little bit. Could someone explain it to me? Other than the clear lexan part. Was there any actual shape to the thing, other than the general overall boardlike shape?
