My friend just got my new boat for me today. I am going to go pick it up next weekend. It is old but it is my first boat so I decided to start cheep. The funny thing is that this is my parents old boat that they sold in 1996.

It is a 1982 Ski Centurion. Not too bad of a boat for 4,000 bucks. It runs and has a tower. That is all that matters to me. I am going to get a fat sac for the back and maybe put some weight in the front but I'm not sure how much to put there. Any help would be great.

Have fun with it.. The boat looks pretty nice and I wish if I had the tower.

Cheers Tommy

Sweet looking boat! What's the motor, 351? Congratulations! Did your parents buy it new?

Maybe he will see this post, or email him. If I remember right he has about 1500# of ballast in it.

Rob L. - Yes the motor is a 351 and ya my step dad bought it new in 82 and then gave it to my step brother. He then sold it and now I am buying it. Small world.

scott - I grew up in Santa Cruz and the boat is still there so I'm sure that this is the same one you have seen.

That's a cool story. Was that boat painted black by the factory? Sac it out and you'll have a good summer. I wish I could find the sweet 89 Nautique 2001 my parents had new at the time.

jay - No the boat was brown when it came from the factory. The guy I bought it from painted it black. He didn't do the best job but it is ok as long as it pulls me. }

Dayne - It looks like the tongue of another trailer. There must be another boat parked behind this one.

Congrats on the new boat. Small world indeed. At least you know most of the boat's history. Have fun with it.

Another sweet thing about the direct drives from the 80's is when they are unweighted they are a blast to drive and do powerturns.

Jeff - I know that I put Camp far West down as one of my home lakes but I have only been their once. Now that I have a boat I am going to be going there a lot more. The one time I went there we didn't like it too much but from what my friends tell me the lake it good on the weekdays. I guess it is crazy on the weekends. If you want to know more about it give me a month or so and I will tell you what I think about it. I live like 10 miles from there so I should be going there a lot.

Thanks to everyone for the posts about my boat. Going to go get it this weekend. It was raining to hard this weekend to get.

Jeff&Starrman31 Camp far west is not a bad lake not that great for boarding it has alot of go fast boats and guys with mullets. It is really close to Woodland though. It is more of a drive but there are some great lakes within 40 miles or so of you
