this 'ol Texas boy knows nothing about Cali, Navada, or Lake Tahoe at all. We're headed up there Thurs. for Memorial. I'm assuming we cant ride, is that correct?

Any help with, cool attractions, watering holes, and some local advise would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Search through the threads. This same topic was on here about 3 months ago and everyone chimed in with their favorite things to do in tahoe.

Whatever you do, bring the best camera you own. Seems like every block has something amazing. Most of the "art" in my home is from photos I have taken there.

50 degrees is moderate for this time of the year especially as a high. We had highs up in the low to mid 60s last week. It'll be cold at night so dress appropriately.

Definitely gonna be some funky weather. Unfortunate that you're not getting the Tahoe goods. Should be in the 70's or 80's by now, but there is still a ton to do. I don't know South Shore well, so I don't have too many recomendations, sorry. Have fun. Tahoe is awesome.

Can't go wrong in Tahoe. This time of the year a nice drive around the lake with a camera is all I need. I'd park up by state line (casinos) grab lunch somewhere. Check out the shops at the Heavenly Gondola, and maybe take a ride up to the top of Heavenly in the Gondola depending on what they are charging. Best view in Tahoe is from up there. Unfortunately Heavenly's greed has made that experience cost prohibitive in the winter, but maybe they lay off the crack in the summer months.

You might also jump on the paddle wheel boat and tour over to Emerald Cove. I think they serve drinks and food on the boat.
