This year I want to try out both, but dont want to spend allot on them just in case I don't enjoy them as much as wakeboarding.

Any advice on a good starter for both? Something thats easy on the wallet but will also not give me a hard time and throw me off the idea completely?

thanks

Matt,

Go pick up a demo board/skate for the weekend and try it out.

Id do that but most of the places local to my cottage don't have a good choice of boards to choose from, and if they do the prices are insane.

Lots of wakeboards to try, but wakeskate and wakesurf are still catching on.

Dont get the L/F Venture.

The CWB Tsunami and Ride are both great boards in the $300 range. The Hyperlite Broadcast is also in there to.

If you want to spend a little more, check out the Inland Surfers http://www.inlandsurfer.com/ I've ridden the Red Tide, great board for bigger riders, beginners (but not small ones) and smaller wakes.

I have the Tsunami now and like it alot.

i would say a hyperlite landlock to start surfing, if you can spend a little more money i would go straight with an inland surfer though because i gurantee you will end up with one, everyone loves surfing after getting the hang of it
