Stayed at Chaparral Cove campground a couple weekends this summer. Its right in between the two bridges on the northwest corner of the lake. I had a good enough time there, but there isn't much shade and most of the sites are fairly small. Counting the fun I had on the boat though, it was a blast! If you reserve ahead you can probably snag a decent size spot with some shade, im sure. There is a small cove that comes in behind the campsites where you can keep your boat over night. The site is right next to the putah creek arm of the lake, which is mostly 5mph, but there is a good stretch of water that is usually pretty glassy in the mornings and evenings, as well as mid day if you are lucky enough to be the only boat over there. You'd also be right next to the party bridge on the other side, if you're into that. Hope that helps!
