I don't remember posting here before. I miss my friends. What's your point Dan?

Welcome skyskier...I went down that stretch before I knew not to do so. I would still probably do it and I dont know why.

Rdog great enhancement of dan.

Ewing.....now that DNR is patrolling the warm side I really worry about getting busted for going under that bridge. No one worried about it before because DNR did not have access to put their boat in. I know one guy who rode there 2 years and never even bothered to register his boat!
Old     (dansmith)      Join Date: Aug 2006       02-09-2008, 2:37 PM Reply
Wait a minute....you're saying you can't cruise down that stretch anymore? Have they put 'No Wake Zone' buoys in there?

Oh, and skyskier, you should know by now that I have no point. But, by responding to my nonsense, you've just increased that stat to 3/5 of your total posts...

In the latest barrage of posts, I will only recognize Dave W's and will tell him he is very warm. I know where he is going with that question and I will only say this . . .

Route 206.

BSW, your post above would lead me to believe that you have roots close to me (OMG!)
Either that or you stole that shirt from some pre-college teen.

My stomping ground...........route 31 (formerly route 69!)

Rdog if my boat sells soon I will water test the 22SSV and decide. If it does not sell most likely a VLX.

Dave W. be cautious of Slacker he is smarter than he looks

Rdog which wake do you prefer I know you spend some time behind the Limo Tinted chariot but I am sure you have been behind a VLX or two.

Loan me the extra $$$. I can help sell that sports car you got...give me 15% of the sale price that will probably cover it.

Ewing, although I've never been behind a new one, Rob @ The Boat Shop on Anna said the new 22SSV is nothing like old one. The new 22SSV is a whole new hull. Its supposed to be huge, but not as steep.
Old     (johnsvt)      Join Date: Dec 2006       02-10-2008, 2:46 PM Reply
Thanks Dan, you didn't hear about my 22SSV story I will have to fill you in sometime.

When you get serious John, I'll take you out for a ride.

I have not ridden behind the new Supras, but have always liked LT's, and Dan's when he owned it. No complaints.

porter...are you now working for Ray?
Old     (johnsvt)      Join Date: Dec 2006       02-10-2008, 3:17 PM Reply
Rdog and how do they compare to the VLX, similar?
Old     (dansmith)      Join Date: Aug 2006       02-10-2008, 3:23 PM Reply
If the VLX is anything like the LSV, then no, they are not similar. The LSV is rampy. The SSV is steep. IMO, in order from rampy to steep you have:

LSV -> my MB -> X1 -> old SSV -> SAN210

The difference between mine, the X1 and Pete's is small, but the SAN210 throws you and the LSV takes forever to ride up.
I'm not sure where the VLX or your vRide fall into the category as I've never been behind them.

Thanks dan now I have a little something to go by.

If Ray would hire Rdog there would be Supra's everywhere or at least pictures everywhere. I think Rdog is part chinese.
Old     (skyski1)      Join Date: Jan 2008       02-10-2008, 3:40 PM Reply
Ewing......if you load extra weight into the rear lockers only on the LSV, you will still have the long ramp, but also a steep kicker at the lip.

Why not check with Rob at The Boat Shop at Lake Anna (Ray's satellite) and see if he has a 22SSV he is willing to demo? Great excuse to come to the lake this weekend!
Old     (johnsvt)      Join Date: Dec 2006       02-10-2008, 3:44 PM Reply
Thought about that but I guess I need to talk to Rob. Ray made it sound like he calls the shot's they are "his boats."

I am sure someone has already told you, but you will find Rob to be very accommodating. Also, Rob's shop is right at the ramp, so much easier for him to demo.
Also, when I talked with Jimmy H.( a friend of Rob's) about a month ago, he said he was picking up a demo boat from Ray soon, but he did not know which one. You might want to see what he has. If it's 22SSV I am sure he would demo for you. He lives on the lake and is legendary for his general goodness.

Last time I was there (December w/ Brian aka natter), he had a Sunsport 22V, which is basically the 22SSV w/ a slightly different seating layout. You may want to give him a call. He may still have it there.

There is a fire at Anna? Is it as dry there as it has been up here the past year? Because if there was a fire here I swear it could burn a square mile in a matter of minutes.

I told you guys to quit smoking in the woods behind your house. Now look what you did.

I'm no professional writer, but shouldn't "completely damaged" just be upgraded to "destroyed".

Long range forecast has 62 for next Monday. We'll just have to keep an eye on things.

On the subject of legitimacy, I think the only thing that could make this thread 100% legitimate would be the appearance of tmorganti & his hot wife. I haven't heard from him since the "I'm mailing them out today" debacle...

Just got back from a tea party. One of the conversations I overheard by the cookie tray was that Dan has ordered up some pop bags to further legitimize his wake. Can't wait to verify this myself.
