Going tonight to try and rescue a shepherd pup.
Now to get the house puppy ready again, havn't had to worry about that for over two years.

Also have to think of a name for a male pup.

Wish me luck, I hate to see dogs not get a chance at a good loving life.

Congrats, and good for you to rescue. I had a german shepard as a child. He was a very good dog. His name was Spike.

My aunt and uncle just got a shepard pup named Zeus. My Sister has two. One is named Rowdy (the name fits him well) The other is Kawi because at the time they got him my nephew was road racing for factory kawasaki.

Just got home with him, what night this is going to be. My Rott is just freaking out but all she wants to do is love on him.

She doesn't realize how big she is to him though.

He is a lil guy and needs to put on the weight. I am so glad I got him, the people that had him were just going to leave him out side and mess with him much. Think they just wanted to say they had a German Shepherd.

Rescue dogs are the best. Good for you, Chas. We just lost our dog of 14 years after finding her on the 101 freeway south of Santa Barbara.

Still can't believe someone would just put a dog out on the freeway like that.

She was the best.

Love the name Boomers. The best names just come to you after spending time with the dog. It's hard to find just the right name before seeing the dog's personality. I am happy for you and the dog. I hope you have many wonderful years together

Well, just three more days and lil Boomers is off to Oklahoma to his new home with my mom. That last few days have been so much fun with him. I am really going to miss the lil guy but at least I know he will be shown more love than any dog could ever have. Still going to be tough to leave him there.
