success after 4 weeks, 2002 v230 sanger, 1540lbs in the rear locker, no other weight and only a few people ... awesome wake that seems to hold up in the delta just about anywhere its over 5 ft ... 330lb man surfed no rope behind the boat on a 2003 green inland surfer 6.0 ... boards i tried hyperlite landlock, broadcast, cwb ride, ronix stage ... im sure the huge fat wave had lots to do with my success, but as everyone here seems to agree the mass produced boards dont perfrom at all for me or my family and friends ... so all you guys posting about weighing 225 and the such take it from me get a good solid made wide board and get a fat wake and you can do it ... took me 2 days on the inland surfer to do it ... hopefully ill be weighing 225 in the spring!!

the side lockers on my boat are huge ... i was able to fit 2 - 550lb bags and 1 - 440lb bag ... ive been told filling the front stock bag of 500lbs will make the wake longer and cleaner ... will fill that tomorrow and see ... got 1 pic tonight from my daughters phone and cant make the pic small enough to post and it shows the volume of the wake ... ill post pics by friday for sure

this is for you robert .... this morning we kept the 1540lbs in the rear locker and filled the front stock 500lb .... this made the wave longer and cleaner as everyone told me it would .... we are in the delta and the water is rarely over 14' deep where we boat .... today was a really low outgoing tide and you could really see the difference in the wave .... first pic is of the much longer cleaner waveUpload
the second pic is me on the rope Upload .... the next pic is no rope!! LOLUpload .... there is no doubt that i need all the WAVE that i can get ... the last pic is backwards before the 360!!Upload

and i just found a new 640lb bag with a built in ice chest of all things in a discount corner at west marine for $99 .... im buying that today to add more weight in the front and see what happens .... if it doesnt do good in the front ill throw it on the seats as the kids love the waterbed seating .... i rarely get lots of people so any and all weight is needed .... plus im starting to think that you cant use too much weight at all .... remember im in the shallow delta and i need big wave in shallow water

Sweet! What TWP board did you get?
Old     (wofrankwo)      Join Date: Jul 2009       08-11-2009, 11:02 PM Reply
they are making me a 6'6" cruiser .... the board dennis is letting me use is 6'3" x 24" .... looks like the front half of my 11'6" tandem surfboard LOL .... but man i get up and throw the rope 1st thing and can surf all day on it .... tonight about 45 minutes on it and i was able to do tail slides and turning up the wake and cutting down .... surfing back into the wake after losing it .... he gave me some great tips that has helped tremondously .... i wonder why i cant get one of the little boards made weight proportion and size .... ive got a few years of longboarding under my belt so its coming back .... but its incredible to surf at my size and have a ball out behind the boat!!
