I know wakeboarding hasn't been in the games for awhile, just curious why they ever took it out of the games.Doesn't make sense!

venue, marine stadium was the ideal place, but to far from the rest of the events. Also they did not charge for wakeboarding.

Like Diaz said, they like to have everything in one venue. If you look at the layout of the L.A. venue it's all within a half square mile. Wakeboarding was always atleast 30 minutes away and didn't draw a crowd.

Sad to think topography is what keeps the coolest sport on the planet from the most popular action sport tournament around! But it's good to know there is no shortage of wakeboarding tournaments out there.and the talent is as amazing as ever!!!!

Don't get me wrong, it drew a crowd to capacity of marine stadium, but as it is the perfect venue for riding, it couldn't accommodate a large enough crowd. Plus im sure the neighborhood there didn't care for it as it is tucked away in a residential area. I am surprised that we don't have a big contest out here. The pro stop used Irvine lake for a awhile, or I would think even mission bay. The SD crowd would crowd in. I'd make the drive down to watch. Boggles me that Reno is a stop and so cal isnt

I went to the King of Wake tournament at OWC in Florida 3 years back. That was unbelievable, met Shane Bonifay. It's sooooo impressive to see wakeboarding at that level. If more people could see that in person maybe we could have a wakeboarding tournament on the scale of the x-games.It certainly has merit!!!!!!

The problem is there isn't the huge massive amount of people that participate in the sport like say skateboarding or bmx... If u look at the x games as a whole they have been condensed way down from back in the day. Remember they used to have luge, surfing and even rock climbing haha. Just think surfing got kicked from the games too and millions of people surf so we aren't the only sport with a gripe, that being said wakeboarding is way more watchable on tv than surfing or any of the other sports for that matter

Mason, well put. I guesse it comes down to exposure to the sport, and the fact that it,s much more expensive to get into than say skateboarding.Oh well it will always be the coolest exciting sport to exist.

I find it rediculous that rally cars, which I like by the way, are included in the XGames. Like we dont see engough car racing throughout the year. It just doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the extreme sports featured in the XGames.
