Ok, it is the middle of winter. I miss the lake life. I know some are at boat shows looking at toys, some are still playing and others are saving up for gas money. I miss the boats. Post some Picts of your machine. We always get board shots how about the boats. If it floats, goes, and makes ya smile put it up.

I miss the water too Rob. The only time our new Supreme has been wet is when we went to demo and purchase it last Nov. I can't wait for the lake to thaw so we can break her in and surf!

Im not all that fond of the x-star graphics, but it is an excellent boat and I like a boat that runs consistently, without problems. I have found that the X-Star gives me more than I need, in a good way.

James do you always beach the ride like that? I just can't get myself to do that, my Avy has never touched the bottom unless it was a accident...

Hey Anthony,
Yes I do beach my boat like that, but only at this specific lake. I never did until I moved. Reason being is that at this lake, the shoreline is very steep (meaning that I am usually up to my waist in water if I am only three feet away from the shore). This allows me to "beach" the boat, without ever worrying about the skegs or prop/rudder rubbing against the bottom. The only area of the boat touching shore is the nose, and with a lot of weight in the nose (like every X-Star needs), the boat will stay planted in remarkably windy weather. And on the white hull you can't notice any rub marks from the sand.
When I took these photos, my hoist was not built yet, so that was another reason why it is beached. Now that I have a hoist, I will most likely just use the hoist to hold the boat in place while we are not riding. I prefer to fill and drain once a day, and I refuse to put it on the hoist with even a drop of water in those ballast bags, so we often beach our boats during the day.
To beaverandboats,
I appreciate your comments. Sometimes that red flake outshines my snow white hull, but hey, its all good. I am pushing an '07 and the red boat is a '10 (I think). My prostar is an '08.

I think that year X-Star you have is the year i like the most. I actually have a die cast model of that X-Star with the exact same graphics! I used to have an I/O Bluewater and used to beach it all the time, with no worries. Then the day i sold it, I was looking underneath and I had sanded all the gel coat right off! I could see the fiberglass LOL. So needless to say, I am pretty careful now. Sounds like you know what your doing....Nice MC's by the way!

the video was at the beginning of the season when we were still dialing it in, from some furrums we took the information and changed the ballast set up to,

Stock tanks = 1100

corner locker = 1100 bag

counter balance oposite side= 250-400 bag

under passenger seat = 260

usually 3-4 in the boat , so maybe 3000lbs,

All good Steve, my buddy has a 226 and we didn't get a good goofy wave out of it yet. I know its capable of putting out a good one, but we have no idea how to weight that side. The 226 puts out a great reg wave, IMO its one of the best on the market!

We ran 1100 and the stock tanks, it doesn't seem to like as much weight as the regular side we found, funny thing was that when my buddy surfed his regular side (goofy) , after surfing switched most of the summer, he really sucked, lol.

We are getting itchy up here big time. After going to the Seattle boat show and the local one in Vancouver, bc, the boats may be coining out in march for sure. I got driveway boating to do with some plumbing and gear. Gonna switch over to triple racks one tower(spinning typhoons), a couple of pumps, and on and on, if we surf the goofy side ill post. Got a go pro over winter. Should be cool.

What's the colour scheme of your buddy's?
