Surf gate fault. Max current draw retracting right. What does it mean..

I am guessing you have a warranty issue. Take it to your dealer.

Dealer will probably have to replace the rams on the surf gates. happened to my buddies 14 lev

It means you have gone faster than surfgate is designed for and is bringing the gate back to stowed position. Usually happens when people forget to turn surfgate off when done surfing, then throttle to normal speeds

or, there is an obstruction not allowing the gate to retract back towards the swim platform.

Incorrect Dave Diaz. This is not the error you get when exceeding the max speed. Max current draw error is likely caused as Aric suggested by a Ram that will need to be replaced. The Lenco worm drive rams do occasionally leak and once water is in the ram its only a matter of time till it fails.

test it. Leave surfgate activated and exceed the 13-14 mph. You will get the max current draw, retracting.

Had to replace rams on both sides.
