I was wondering how bad brackish water is on a ski boat?

Ive herd that is horrible on the trailer but i want to know how bad is it on the engine. The boat is set up for fresh water only and there is not a flush kit on it? Is it hard to put a flush kit on it. It is on 07 mastercraft x2.

I dont want to put it in brackish water but when i have brackish water 15 min away compared to fresh water1.15hr away then my mind starts to wonder.

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. And the brackish water i am talking about is the san bernard river in TX. So if you live in the area and want to ride just hit me up. Always looking for new people to ride with.
